Whether the Snow Gods decide to pull through this month or next, there are still plenty of reasons to head to Truckee before the New Year. Here are the events I would love you to join me at in the coming weeks:
Boulders Phase II Tours
Construction is moving along on the Boulders at Mountainside Phase II project, which is a really good time to take a trip up the hill and get a sense for how the community will look upon completion. If these are on your list of homes to check out, I suggest you book a private tour with me before the snow starts flying. More info on how to tour, reserve and customize Boulders Phase II units, as well as buyer incentives, here.
Tahoe Mountain Club’s Mixer
November 29, 2019 | 5pm – 7pm | If you’re currently a Tahoe Mountain Club member, or thinking of becoming a Tahoe Mountain Club member, their annual holiday event is next week and full of family-friendly activities. The club’s executive staff will be present to give an update and answer any questions about memberships and future plans. Join me at the Tahoe Mountain Club Pavilion at Old Greenwood next Friday to cheers to the season. Email me directly to RSVP.
December 5 – 8, 2019 | The Tahoe Film Fest is one of the most underrated events in all of Tahoe. The festival’s theme is environmental awareness, with most (but not all) of the independent films covering topics within the theme and all proceeds going to benefit the UC Davis Tahoe Environmental Research Center. This 4-day event runs through Northstar, Incline Village and Crystal Bay and I highly suggest it.
10th Anniversary Celebration
December 6 & 7 | Celebrating their 10th Anniversary in Lake Tahoe, the Ritz will be hosting a complimentary cocktail party, tree lighting ceremony, fireworks show and bringing the iconic 80’s cover band, Tainted Love, to the Ritz for a family-friendly weekend sure to kick-off the winter season with a bang! RSVP before it fills up.
Santa’s Fly-In at Truckee Airport
December 14 | 10am – 1pm | My kids love hanging out at the Truckee Airport’s playground so they can watch the “big planes” land while playing on the jungle gym. It’s one of my favorite places in Truckee, so when we heard Santa was going to fly in on a specially decorated plane, we marked our calendars immediately. You can not only watch Santa fly in, but there will also be great holiday photo ops with both Santa and Mrs. Claus, hot chocolate, yummy holiday treats, and more at this annual event. A fun and memorable Truckee tradition.
Tahoe Mountain Realty Holiday Party
December 27 | 3pm – 6pm | Swing by Tahoe Mountain Realty’s office at Northstar (right by the valet circle) for our annual holiday party featuring local breweries, passed hors d’oeuvres and live music. We invite you and the whole family as we celebrate another amazing winter season in Truckee and cheers to the new year ahead. Email me directly to RSVP.
December 28 | 5pm – 7pm | A great balance of family time and a little post-holiday exercise. Guests of all ages (suggested 8 years +) will enjoy an easy to moderate snowshoe walk with an unobstructed view of the cosmos. The tour includes a fun and lively science-based talk about the cosmos, followed by the opportunity to view constellations through high-powered, professional telescopes. Stargazing Snowshoe Tours are two hours in length, and begin at Northstar’s Cross Country Center and conclude at The Ritz-Carlton, Lake Tahoe with telescope viewing and hot beverages. Look for more tours Jan 18 & 25 and Feb 15 & 29, 2020.
